Want to Create a Video of a New Listing? Here are Five Tips for Creating an Engaging Video.

One of the best ways to market real estate today is through video tours. With more people turning to the internet, this method of marketing has proven to be highly effective in attracting prospective buyers. If you are a real estate agent, and you want to keep up with this increasing trend, the following tips will help you create effective videos for your listings.

1. Keep it Brief

The first thing you will want to keep in mind, when creating a real estate video, is to keep it brief. However, you will want to make it interesting as well. Your goal is to keep people involved in the video and make them interested enough to phone you.

2. Make it Personal

The next thing that you will want to do is strive to make the viewers feel as if they are truly experiencing a physical tour of the home. Walk through the house as if you were actually showing the viewers the various rooms. Talk with the viewers as if they were right there with you, telling them about the best aspects of the property.

3. Avoid Unnecessary Details

An essential tip is to never show unnecessary parts of the property such as the insides of cupboards or the toilets. Talk only of the best aspects of the home and show only its best features. Equally important is to keep annoying noises out of the video such as barking dogs or sirens.

4. Lighting is Essential

It is a fact that buyers are often attracted to bright homes. With that said, you should always pay attention to your lighting, when making your video. Use most every light in every room. Poorly lit rooms will not show up well in videos. Opening curtains will help as well.

5. Stick with Dialogue

Finally, while many people may think that background music adds a nice touch to videos, this can often simply be a distraction. It is best if you leave music out and simply use dialogue in the video. Practice your dialogue ahead of time so that you can perfect it for the day of your recording.

Videos can be terrific marketing tools for real estate agents today. With more people going online, real estate videos have the ability to reach a much broader consumer base than many other marketing methods. When people use the above tips to create their videos, they are sure to see success.
