You can use Twitter to generate leads, find new clients and market your current listings. Here are some ways to use Twitter to your best advantage and to make each tweet count.
Locate buyers
Although it doesn’t always seem that way, it’s good to remember that potential home buyers are looking for you as much as you are looking for them. Help them find you and your listings by including words in your tweet that will allow them to narrow down their home search.
For example, Waterfront property, Stratford, CT under $500,000 will attract the attention of anyone looking to move into the area that would enjoy a waterfront property and has a budget of about $500,000. Include a link on your tweet that goes to a webpage that contains all the relevant house information and large, clear photos. Have your contact information easy to find on the webpage by placing it at the top and the bottom of the page.
Include a photo
People are so busy today that there’s a huge advantage to buyers to quickly look through Twitter to see what homes are up for sale. If you include a photo of the outside of the home or a photo of one of the highlights of the house, that may encourage the potential buyer to click on the link to your listing.
Download an app like Instagram and you can upload a photo in seconds which can be previewed by the Twitter user. Pictures are powerful, so include a photo in as many tweets as you can.
Create a Twitter teaser
Grab attention by using carefully chosen words to encourage the Twitter user to click on the link. For example, if your listing has a beautiful blue stone patio, engage the reader by asking a question like, “How about breakfast on the patio this summer?” A question acts like a call to action and captures attention.
